CUSTOMIZED CARE

Kinfolk Canine offers overnight care in the form of boarding in our home. An introductory form will address any history of fear, anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding, etc. For the sake of our larger "fur fam" community and the residents, we welcome new clients on a case-by-case basis and will refer dogs with issues beyond mild fear or anxiety elsewhere. For prospective first-time stays longer than a couple days, a trial night or weekend arranged in advance will ensure compatibility. Boarding is open to pups as young as 8 weeks of age and to elderly dogs (including those on medication and with most special needs of seniors).
Visiting dogs must be current on the following vaccinations:
• Rabies and DHPP -- every 3 years for adults (or valid titer tests)
• Bordetella and DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus) -- at least one round for puppies
• Bordetella -- every year for adults
We also ask for reports of our prospective guests' latest comprehensive fecal exams from samples taken within 10 days of all drop-off dates, unless otherwise specified, based on timing or lifestyle considerations.
Boarding can be combined with training! Let us know what your needs and priorities are, and we'll develop a plan accordingly. Additionally, we can schedule daytime outings (walks, hikes, and house calls) with clients in and around the Issaquah Alps.
